As a long term Central Queensland local, Selena Berry is excited by the future prospects of

the region and her new role as a sales consultant with Emerald based property specialists

Adams and Jones presents her with the perfect opportunity to continue to share her

knowledge and passion for property.

“I was born in Clermont and have strong family ties to the Bowen Basin, over the years I’ve

been evolved in a number of renovations and have had exposure to the building industry as

it’s something I am really passionate about. Seeing my father who was a Real Estate Agent

undertake property developments also sparked my passion for Real Estate at a young age.

My grandmother also owned the iconic Comet Pub and ran the local shop, which

contributes to my great love of the region.

“Emerald is a wonderful place to raise a family and as a mother of two beautiful girls I’m

keen to ensure my children can grow up in a strong family community which also offers

plenty of opportunities for them to develop a career across a range of industries,” Selena

said.

Adams and Jones Managing Director Scott Gooderham said Selena’s growing knowledge of

property and her passion for Emerald ensures that she is a welcome addition to the team.

“We think there are prosperous times ahead, we have earmarked Emerald and the Bowen

Basin as a strong investment option with a number of new projects underway. This includes

the Sojitz Gregory Crinum coal project which will create 300 new construction jobs along

with new solar farms and further expansions planned at a number of the region’s existing

mines.

“We are now seeing house and land prices increase with building activity starting up again

which is great to see. When you combine all that new economic activity along with the fact

that 12 of the State’s largest coal mines are located in our region, it’s easy to see why

confidence is returning to the local property market,” Scott said.

Selena said when the opportunity came along to join the Adams and Jones team it was hard

to pass up as she felt she would have access to a great range of resources which would

assist her in the role.

“Not only do we have some great commercial and residential properties in Emerald, we’ve

also got a great team behind us who have years of experience in sales and leasing as well as

town planning, market research and the construction of commercial and residential

developments.

“The ability to access this broad range of information is vitally important for those wanting

to invest locally as well as those looking to purchase in other growth markets like Brisbane

and the Sunshine Coast where Adams and Jones also have offices.

“There is no doubt that the Emerald property market is now emerging from its slumber,

across the region we are seeing strong demand for rentals which is putting more buyers in

the market, in turn pushing property sale prices up.

“It’s exciting to see where the market will go considering all of the positive activities which

are currently underway,” Selena said.
